You’ve spent enough time putting on a front.

It’s time for you to be heard
and understood.

Sherene Bell, LCSW-S | Therapist for Women
Based in Lufkin and online throughout TX

You’re tired of feeling on edge while trying to pretend everything’s okay. You feel like the world you know is falling apart

You’ve probably tried to push through on your own. Maybe you’ve read the books, done the google searches, or told yourself you should be able to figure this out. But knowing what to do and actually following through are two very different things.

You don’t know how much longer you can keep going like this.

I help women who are:

  • Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck

  • Having conflict in relationships

  • Thinking about or navigating divorce

  • Dealing with past trauma

…find healing and create real change.

In my 10+ years of experience as a therapist,  I’ve met many clients who worry that I don’t truly understand what they’re going through. I understand not just the theory—but the lived reality of anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. I’ve also experienced what healing can look like on the other side.

I’m not sitting across from you as someone who has it all figured out—I’m another woman who understands that life can be complicated. You don’t have to prove your pain, filter yourself, or worry about saying things the “right” way. You get to show up as you are—even if your thoughts feel messy or all over the place.

This work can be heavy.

A smiling woman with short hair, wearing a leopard print blazer, sitting at a desk with her hands clasped. She has a smartwatch on her left wrist and a necklace with a pendant. In the background, there is a frame with motivational text on the wall.

We can still laugh along the way.

I’m laid back, straightforward, and not afraid to bring humor into the room when it helps things feel lighter and more real. I won’t just nod along—I’ll be honest with you, sometimes even with a facial expression that says what words don’t.

When you walk into my office, you can expect a sense of calm and undivided attention. And yes, we might have the occasional “squirrel moment”—but we always come back to what matters. I help things feel more manageable by sitting with the heaviness and helping you sort through it—so you’re not just venting, but actually finding direction.

Together, we’ll work toward hope, healing, and the belief that your story isn’t over yet.

It’s time to feel like you and breathe again!

Why Freedom?

“Freedom” carries many layers of meaning for me. As a military brat who became a military veteran, it signifies a deep love for my country and the liberties that define being American. While serving, I became a victim advocate for survivors of sexual assault—an experience that inspired me to pursue a career as a therapist after leaving the military. In that sense, freedom means healing, growth, and living life to its fullest potential. Yet the truest freedom I know comes from my faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Without Him, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Through Him, I’ve found my passion for helping others discover peace and joy, no matter their circumstances.
